Calvary Chapel Yomitan began in August of 2017 in the home of Pastor Andrew Neely and his wife Kayo.
We are located in a rural area of Yomitan Village. Our neighbors are mostly sugarcane and vegetable farmers. Our current church building is in the Senaha neighborhood and is an Okinawan style house, complete with tatami floors, Japanese shoji and surrounded by Shikwasa-lime trees.
As a multicultural congregation of believers, our services and Bible studies are held in both English and Japanese, with side-by-side translation. Our worship services are laid-back and we sing worship songs together in both English and Japanese.
Our heart’s desire is to see the people of Okinawa experience the grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ and receive His gift of eternal life.
